Dark Lords dominate Spike TV’s Scream Awards 2011 – winner recap

You say you were too engrossed by tonight’s GOP presidential candidate debate in Vegas to DVR the Spike Scream Awards 2011? Fear not, my little political pundits, because FilmEdge has a complete recap of all the winners this year. Naturally a spoiler alert ensues for all of you behind on your TiVoing, so bail out now if you want to keep the surprises brewing a bit longer in your box!

Dark Lords of various movie franchises ruled the Scream Awards with an iron fist (or a magic wand) as the big screen’s baddest villains impaled their competition with Spike Awards:

HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS – PART 2 made six awards disappear from the podium including The Ultimate Scream, Best Scream-Play, Best Fantasy Actor (Daniel Radcliffe), Best Villain (Ralph Fiennes), Best FX and the renowned Holy Shit Scene of the Year.

Not to be overshadowed by a bunch of punkass young wizards and witches, the Dark Lord of the Sith himself, George Lucas accepted the Ultimate Villain Award for Darth Vader. Wait, scratch that, reverse it. Or not. At any rate, Lucas playing keep-away with Vader’s Spike award still had more laughs than all of Episode One.
