FilmEdge reviews UP IN THE AIR

George Clooney in UP IN THE AIRAfter our holiday break from publishing, FilmEdge catches up on award-nominated films with our review of UP IN THE AIR. George Clooney and Vera Farmiga star as two career professionals crossing paths over the skies of a downsizing corporate America.

Very much a film of its time and for its time, UP IN THE AIR takes off quickly as an entertaining but serious snapshot of corporate reality and human drama.  Jason Reitman directs first class performances from Cloooney, Farmiga, Anna Kendrick and cast in a fun yet fragile study of isolation and loneliness that earns its critical rewards.  Expect emotional turbulence but the trip is very much worthwhile as awards season gears up.
